Do you just love dips? I have to say as much as I love brownies I certainly have a soft spot for chips and any kind of dip. If we go out to eat I’m not sure if it’s just because I’m excited or super hungry but if someone orders a dip appetizer I surely struggle not to EAT IT ALL! Since starting the Trim Healthy Mama (THM) lifestyle I’ve tried to find different ways to enjoy my dips. Usually, it’s not the dips that are so bad but rather the things we are using to scoop up the dip.
Options
One thing I’ve found is that if you go to someone’s house or a potluck you can usually find many fabulous dips but you can also find a veggie tray. Instead of grabbing those chips…grab some peppers or some celery and load those up with dip. I know it may sound crazy but I’m telling you it’s good and totally satisfies the cravings.
Another great option is to make those dips into family-friendly meals. One dip I just love is spinach and artichoke dip. Today I want to share how I make this dip into a great and super easy meal that can also be used for your freezer meal this week!
Spinach and Artichoke Tacos
This can be so easy by buying a store bought dip that doesn’t have any added sugars (which is pretty easy to find) or by making your own spinach and artichoke dip like this one I found online. Once you have your dip or choice purchased or made all you need is some mission low carb tortilla shells.
Wrap up a little scoop of the dip in your shells and lay them in a 9×13 pan. You can even spread more dip on top or cheese or whatever you would like. The shells will crispy up in the oven even after they have been frozen and you are good to enjoy. My whole family loves this meal.
