When I started doing Trim Healthy Mama (THM) my hardest realization was that salad is not usually healthy. I ordered a salad almost every time we went out to dinner. Of course, it was covered in sugar filled dressing and the chicken was breaded but I thought I was making a good healthy choice. What did I know! Most Salad DRESSINGS are loaded with sugar and cause your glycemic level to soar. Not to mention lots of other things in our restaurant ordered salads today are not good for us.
When I started Trim Healthy Mama THM, one thing I wanted was good salads but even more than that I wanted good salad DRESSING because I do not like ranch! I felt like ranch and oil/vinegar were my only options. My goal in learning the THM lifestyle is not only to lose weight but to be healthy. For myself and for my family and I also want to do it without feeling deprived because then I KNOW I will not stick to it!
This week I want to share with you a new wonderful salad dressing. One of my favorites before I started THM.
Sweet and Tasty Honey Mustard Dressing THM S
This dressing is just what some of my jar salads needed. It’s sweet, it’s tasty, it’s EASY! Make some up and again, if someone could make me a little purse sized fridge that I could carry these with me at all times I would be so grateful!

Last night we had pizza and I ordered lettuce, just lettuce. You know why? Because I brought that bowl of lettuce home and stuffed it into my jar salad that I had made earlier in the week and run out of lettuce for. This way I still got to eat with my family but I didn’t go off plan and I was COMPLETELY satisfied with the salad and NOT having pizza. Which is a slight miracle! I think you will love this dressing so shake it up and try it out today! Also, I would use this in ANY jar salad specifically the ones that I already use the poppy seed dressing for. Enjoy!

This was really good – I used it to make Pioneer Woman’s ranch chicken (which calls for the real deal) and it worked perfectly!
